The Ohio Revised Code requires that counties adopt a written PRC Plan and update it at least every two years. The period of this plan will begin November 8, 2023, and end September 30, 2025.
Changes to the PRC program:
- Raises the FPL eligibility threshold from 165% FPL to 175% FPL.
- Increases the Benefit Cap for Emergency Assistance to $2,500.
- Increases the Benefit Cap for Disaster Assistance to $1,000
- The Eviction Avoidance Fund will continue. This program was piloted in 2022.
- Implements a PRC Presumptive Eligibility pilot for recipients of SNAP and/or OWF for 6 months.
- Noncustodial Parents are now eligible to receive PRC Emergency Assistance
Changes to the PRC ERA program:
- Limits assistance to 3 months
- Revises the income eligibility for families with minor children to 50% of Area Median Income (AMI)
Changes to the PRC Plus program:
- Limits assistance to 3 months
- Income eligibility for families with minor children up to 300% of FPL
