The Franklin County Department of Job and Family Services (FCDJFS) Child Care Program provides a range of services and resources to support working families and promote the early development, health, safety, and well-being of children. Franklin County offers several different programs that offer assistance for families in covering the cost of child care, which you can apply for using one application.
Publicly Funded Child Care (PFCC) helps eligible families pay for child care services for children under the age of 13 and children with disabilities up to the age of 18. Applicants may be required to pay a co-payment based on gross monthly income and family size.
Eligibility standards are subject to change and are generally updated in September of each year. Your household must have an income at or below 145% of the federal poverty level (FPL) in order to initially qualify. Please View the current PFCC income eligibility standards.
